Based on the fact that teamwork is becoming more and more important in the ever-changing business context, Mr. Huy Tran (Talent Management Manager, TRG International) delivered his presentation on reasons why most teams don’t work and how leaders can build a collaborative team environment. It turns out that trust is the root cause of ineffective team among other reasons such as unclear goals, no direction, and lack of engagement or incompetence.

To overcome those barriers, changes should come from the top and leaders are expected to be vulnerable to their teams firstly. It is also essential for team leaders or managers to understand different characteristics of their members in the bid to predict and understand their behaviours towards assignments and coordination. Behavioural profiling tools provided by TRG Talent is considered as one of the most effective solutions to understand one’s strengths and weaknesses for effective teamwork.
