We will discuss the era of dating apps. First, based on what principles do people swipe right to choose potential partners or swipe left to reject proposals from matchmaker apps? Second, let’s take a step back to look at dating apps from a more societal perspective. Are dating apps undermining the ‘purity’ of love in our generation, and are the true purposes of dating apps simply for people to seek love, or are they products of capitalism that draw us into materialistic values and superficiality?
