Inspired by Singapore’s culture, colours, and flavours, Artyzen Singapore is a modern lifestyle hotel for luxury travellers.

This iconic heritage landmark was once the sprawling tropical-garden mansion named “Villa Marie” by the great-grandson of Singapore’s well-known philanthropist, the late Mr Tan Tock Seng. Embracing this unique heritage, Artyzen Singapore offers 142 spacious rooms and suites — all with balconies, ceiling fans, and luxurious bathrooms.

Standardised system implementation

The project centred on deploying a standardised financial platform that meets both corporate and local compliance requirements. The following solutions were implemented:

•Infor SunSystems Cloud (Multi-Tenant)
•Infor Query & Analysis (Q&A)

TRG International has successfully rolled out Infor SunSystems across Artyzen’s Singapore properties, delivering a consistent, integrated platform for financial operations that fully aligns with Artyzen’s group-wide standards.

Why multi-tenant matters?

Multi-tenant architecture advantages

✅ Single-tenant architecture typically provides separate software and server resources for each customer. This gives the customer’s enterprise plenty of control over the system, but it also requires more effort and a larger investment.
✅ A multi-tenant environment gives several customers the use of the application within the same operating environment. This model provides all the benefits of cloud computing—such as greater agility and security—plus the costs are shared across more business users.

Infor SunSystems Multi-Tenant was selected for Artyzen Singapore due to its scalability, global capabilities, and strong alignment with hospitality industry needs.

Beyond the financial core, the solution needed to integrate with:

TRG International connects diverse platforms to automate data transfers, resulting in consistent financial records. This integration reduces manual effort, minimises errors, and enables the finance team to focus on strategic analysis and decision-making—thus, boosting overall efficiency and financial performance.

Project Approach

The project followed the Infor Deployment Method, encompassing phases: Initiation, Elaboration, Construction, Transition, and Optimisation. This structured approach ensures a smooth and stable rollout, minimising errors during setup and go-live.

Six weeks were required for completion of the entire project.

To meet both corporate and local compliance needs, the system was configured to align with USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry) and IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore) regulations.

Customised reports for enhanced flexibility

Using Charts of Accounts (COA) and analysis codes from other Artyzen hotels within the group, report templates were tailored based on specifications to maintain consistency across financial reports.

Infor Query & Analysis (Q&A) is a powerful executive information tool that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Excel, providing a familiar, user-friendly interface for:

Generating reports (e.g., P&L, balance sheets, aging analysis)
Real-time data interrogation and drill-down
Custom breakout reports with live data connections

Training

Comprehensive training from TRG consultants equips the new finance team to operate SunSystems and Q&A independently, addressing common challenges confidently.

Results: Efficiency and Excellence

Since implementation, Artyzen Singapore’s finance team has achieved:

✓ 90% reduction in manual data entry
✓ Significant time savings in financial reporting
✓ Enhanced control and transparency through real-time reporting

Using Q&A, users can now extract live data directly into Excel or prepare transactions in Excel for seamless batch imports into SunSystems—greatly increasing productivity and precision.
