In the past few years, artificial intelligence (AI) has become an incredibly powerful tool and relevant in our everyday lives. With the development of AI technologies such as ChatGPT and the growing popularity of “beauty” face filters on social media, it seems as though AI is the “next big thing” that challenges the way we interact with technologies.
This presentation will give an overview of AI and its growing revolutionary effect on our daily lives. We will first give a brief history of AI as well as give multiple examples of how AI affects all of our lives (socially, culturally, etc.). Secondly, we will specifically delve into how AI is used in the workplace and the potential it has to change the way we understand work and labor.
