As part of the broader TRG Cares Program, the idea of replacing plastic cups with tumblers was introduced to foster a culture of environmental responsibility—demonstrating that small efforts can contribute to a greener, more sustainable planet for future generations.
What’s inside TRG Cares Program?
TRG Cares represents a shift in focus for our social responsibility efforts. It is an acronym for TRG Community Action and Responsibility for Environmental Sustainability.
This program, developed based on the ESG framework, emphasises three key elements: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), which work together to achieve our goal – Sustainability, while also introducing two new elements, Environmental and Governance.
Tumbler but not just a tumbler
Starting in May 2024, the employees of TRG began moving toward sustainability by actively using the reusable cups provided during the company’s 30th anniversary celebration in the previous month.
And now, it is a pleasure to see these cups being used widely throughout the TRG office. The company sincerely appreciates the support and active involvement of TRGers in this campaign, recognizing that every sip matters.
Every sip matters
Before launching this initiative, the office used approximately 4,700 single-use cups per month. Just one month after promoting the use of tumblers, this number was significantly reduced to 1,689. TRG believes that with time, this achievement will become even more remarkable.
The journey toward a greener future is ongoing, and with continued collective effort, TRG is optimistic that these accomplishments will serve as a catalyst for ongoing environmental stewardship.
