Russell Roof Tiles, the UK’s third largest concrete tile manufacturer, is moving its ERP to the cloud by deploying Infor CloudSuite Industrial. The system is expected to go live in 2018.
The company’s existing ERP system is Infor SyteLine, which was selected over other systems from SAP, Microsoft, and Epicor. The upgrade to Infor CloudSuite Industrial is a part of a modernisation program and aims at reducing lead times, manual processes and improve customer service.

In addition to the system’s scalability and user-friendliness, Infor CloudSuite Industrial brings other advanced capabilities, including Customer Portals, Business Intelligence, Advanced Production and Plant Maintenance.
The majority of Russell’s production planning, as well as the purchasing of parts, will be automated and streamlined to help reduce lead times and boost efficiencies. Thanks to the self-service portal, the company’s customers will be able to access their orders information, including CAD drawings, around the clock via the internet.
“Adopting a Cloud model reduces our technology footprint, and will make for a smoother transition when our US operations migrate to the same platform in H2 2018,” says Araminta Chesters, the company’s Finance Director.
